For Random Acts of Kindness Day (17th February) Funeral arranger Donna Forrester went to a local bakery and purchased cakes for all of the staff that work in the shops and the garages on and behind Bush Hill Parade.
Bags of chocolates were given to the staff in Greggs and the local coffee shop as they already sell cakes.
Donna said: “I took the cakes around to each shop in the morning and introduced myself, we had a little chat and then I gave them all a cake each. They were all pleasantly surprised and very happy to receive free cake, I even got some sweeties given to me in return and an offer of a free coffee. It was lovely meeting and chatting with them all and seeing their smiles when they were given the cakes.”
